Terms of Service, Callout Conditions & Workmanship Standards

Effective Date • 2026-10-17. These terms of service took effect on 2026-10-17. They govern all repair inquiries, physical callouts, diagnostic assessments, and domestic maintenance tasks performed thereafter by our company across Northern New Jersey municipalities.

Contracting Parties & Identity. These terms are entered into with Newjerseyshandyman (trading as New Jersey's Handyman, LLC at newjerseyshandyman.net), located at 145 NEWARK POMPTON TURNPIKE, PEQUANNOCK, NJ 07440, PEQUANNOCK, NJ, United States. Telephone: (973) 874-0463. Email: [email protected]. We are a registered Home Improvement Contractor (NJ HIC) in the State of New Jersey under the direction of Ivan Petrov, active since 2018 with 120 completed projects. All work is performed directly without subcontracting.

Scope of Physical Services. This site provides domestic repair scheduling, diagnostic scope assessments, and trade estimates for single-family residences, townhomes, and private dwellings. What this site provides includes interior door adjustment and mortising, drywall water damage excavation and three-coat mud finishing, subfloor reinforcement, plumbing fixture replacements (compression shutoffs, kitchen faucets, fill assemblies), and cabinet hardware alignments. What this site does not provide includes whole-house electrical service panel upgrades, municipal gas line piping, structural foundation underpinning, exterior paving, or large commercial general contracting.

Inquiry-Only Portal & Order Formation. Nothing is sold or paid for on the site. There is no shopping cart, no checkout gateway, and no payment card intake. A figure shown on this site or in preliminary communications is an estimate and not a binding quote. An inquiry becomes an order only after you submit repair details, Ivan Petrov evaluates the scope and communicates estimated labor time and callout floor, an on-site visit is scheduled, and you approve the labor and materials in person before physical work begins. Invoicing occurs only after physical work is completed and inspected on-site.

Pricing Architecture & Variances. All fees are priced on the basis of a diagnostic callout floor ($75–$200 per callout trip) plus hourly trade labor ($60–$125 per hour; standard median $83–$90 per hour), calculated and billed exclusively in United States Dollars (USD). Most domestic punch lists take 1 to 2 hours. What changes a price upon physical inspection includes: hidden structural decay or framing dry rot behind walls, non-standard replacement materials and specialized hardware billed at supplier pass-through cost, difficult physical access (steep elevations, tight crawl spaces), emergency evening or weekend dispatch, and exceptional craft complexity.

Acceptable Use & Prohibited Visitor Conduct. A visitor may not submit automated spam inquiries, script automated denial-of-service floods against submit.php or chat.php, or attempt to bypass our honeypot verification fields (branch, weblink). Visitors may not transmit malicious code, harass tradesman Ivan Petrov through the chat console, scrape our text and technical case studies for commercial directories, or submit fictitious addresses intended to misdirect our service vehicle.

Intellectual Property Ownership. All site text, photographs, technical case records, line drawings, framing diagrams, custom SVG graphics, and marks are the exclusive proprietary property of New Jersey's Handyman, LLC (Newjerseyshandyman), protected under United States copyright and trademark laws. Every photograph represents authentic physical trade work executed by Ivan Petrov. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or republication for commercial contracting purposes is strictly prohibited.

Disclaimers & As-Is Availability. This website and all technical guidance provided herein are provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that digital dispatch functions will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all network browsers. Scope and labor figures communicated online or via chat are non-binding preliminary estimates; final conditions cannot be warranted until physical inspection on-site.

Limitation of Contractor Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable New Jersey law, the total cumulative liability of New Jersey's Handyman, LLC and Ivan Petrov arising out of your use of this site or any service inquiry shall not exceed the actual amount paid by you for the specific diagnostic callout or repair visit giving rise to the claim, or one hundred United States dollars ($100.00 USD), whichever is greater. We are not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, pre-existing structural settling, or aged paint shading variances.

Termination & Right of Refusal. Access to our digital inquiry desk or physical repair services can be refused or withdrawn if a customer engages in abusive, threatening, or discriminatory conduct, if an on-site physical inspection reveals unsafe working conditions (structural collapse hazard, exposed friable asbestos, biohazards, unsecured aggressive animals), or if a customer demands improper assemblies that violate building safety. In such cases, operations cease immediately and billing is limited to accrued diagnostics.

Governing Law & Judicial Forum. These terms run under the law of NJ, United States, without giving effect to conflict of laws principles. Any legal action, dispute, or proceeding arising under or relating to these terms or contractor services shall be heard exclusively in the state courts of PEQUANNOCK, Morris County, New Jersey.

Announcement of Terms Modifications. A change to these terms is announced by posting the updated terms directly to this URL at newjerseyshandyman.net/terms.html with an updated effective date header at the top of the notice. For active contracted home improvement projects, material terms will not change without prior mutual written consent.

Workmanship Warranty • 365 Days. New Jersey's Handyman, LLC warrants all manual craftsmanship and assembly labor executed by Ivan Petrov for one full year (365 days) from final invoice payment. If an interior door drags due to hinge screw loosening, if a taped drywall seam fissures, or if an installed angle stop leaks under standard pressure within twelve months, we return and remediate the issue at zero labor cost. Excludes manufacturer fixture defects, structural building foundation settling, extreme seasonal wood movement, and pre-existing plumbing decay upstream of our shutoff.
